27th of March, 2018- Dead Rising 3 Review

*Image gotten from wikipedia

Hello, and today I am going to do a review on Dead Rising three. Keep in mind this is a Rated M game, so anybody who is not legally over the age of seventeen (In the US at least, I do not have a clue for other countries age restrictions) shouldn’t play this. I do have to say, this game has a special place in my heart, as this was my first rated M game that I purchased as a seventeen year old, around two weeks ago. Ah, the joys of being 17. I can now waltz right into rated R movies (Purchasing a ticket of course), and N-17 movies. I can also get M games. I did gloss over I turned 17 a while back, so now I almost have free reign. I just have to wait a year then here I come Ao. Not that I would actually play an Ao game. I am getting off topic so here I go.

Dead Rising three is a Survival shooter game where you play as Nick Ramos, a young mechanic who is a survivor to the zombie apocalypse. Unlike previous games in the series (Or so I am told) you have a lax time limit to do different missions in the story. You can decide to do classic difficulty from the get go in nightmare mode, so if you have nerves of steel you can be a maniac if this is your first dead rising game. In this game the ultimate goal is to escape los Peridos in this hack and slash title. Before I even go to different mechanics and pros and cons, I do have to say with what I have experienced so far, I would give this game a 9.5 out of 10. I have experienced little to no problems on my part. There sadly is no major glitches (using sadly loosely), and this is an extremely well made game. There is no BS mechanics I have presently found. If I found a problem it was quickly resolved with this game, as it was me being an idiot. Now on to individualities.

Soundtrack- Honestly I can’t say much about the soundtrack. I was too immersed in gameplay to even notice it. Something similar to the sound track, the voice actors. I found the voice actors perfect for this game. In all honesty, if someone has an annoying voice it can ruin something easily. Even monotone voice is better than high pitched or annoying for me, and I hate monotone voices. I won’t really rate the soundtrack because it doesn’t matter, I get too caught up in the game to care about the sounds, with the exceptions of cutscenes.

Gameplay (10/10)- To me, this game has solid gameplay. I would even say it is way too solid, as I can ignore my surroundings with ho fun it is. You can drive around, craft weapons, hack and slash, run over masses of zombies, ignore the story or play the game to its fullest. There is something for everybody out there in this game (except for anyone under the age of 17)

Story (9 out of 10)- I actually really liked the plot on this game. At one point I went say what. Mostly because I have some background knowledge of the Dead Rising series. I liked how the different bosses have stories. I was skeptical with some on the contrary. Honestly there should of been a secret ending for beating all of the seven sin bosses. That really is my only qualm, how all you get was a shiny weapon and/or vehicle. Shame on me for being slightly biased, but the plot other than that is amazing. I should just change that to a decimal, but it would be a hassle to do extremely complex math.

In all honesty, for my first dead rising game that I played and didn’t watch someone else play, I really liked this game. I liked the nod off to Frank from the first game by all the statues. Like before, I give this game a 9.5 out of 10. That is all for now-

May 4th (May the Forth be with you)- Classic Game recommendation- Megaman Zero

MegaMan Zero is a game I love extremely much, and as I was playing it, I decided to do a review/ recommendation for it. Megaman Zero is a 2D platformer for the Gameboy advance, with surprisingly good graphics for its time.  This game could be mistaken for a game from today if it wasn’t for being on the gameboy. This game was somewhat ignored for its time, as the Megaman series as a hole was on the decline. Although this is a technical review, I really want Megaman as a series to come back, as it was (and is) a really good series.

The music is different for every location, so you have more music for every location that adds more replay ability.  The story and plot may be confusing if you never played Megaman X, but it will be even more confusing if you haven’t played Megaman at all. At times it can be difficult, but for the most part (at least for me) it is pretty easy.

It can give some people a hard time to get an A rank on all missions (don’t worry if it does, it defiantly gives me a hard time), but it is even harder to get 100 percent. I would say level up your skills for weapons as fast as you can, because it makes the game a whole lot easier if you do. If you can get past the first two bosses, you should be able to beat the game (key term should, please don’t get mad at me if you can’t), but you should save regularly. Try to explore as much as you humanly can, but other than that, good luck.

I personally would give this game a 5 out of 5 star rating. Thank you for taking your time to read this, and good bye for now. -The Firemoon gamer

Megaman 1 Boss Guide – April 27th, 2017

This is a game I would personally recommend to anyone, beginner, veteran, age 3, age 60, anyone. It is a little difficult, but is the easiest Megaman game. If you want to start to play the Megaman series, play them in order. -The Firemoon Gamer.

Today I am doing a boss guide for Megaman 1. It is a game where all you do is walk, jump, and shoot. That is all there is to it. I am going to highlight all the bosses’ weaknesses. But before that, I am going to highlight the cutter boomerang glitch.

The cutter boomerang glitch is an oversight: with cuttermans item, the cutter boomerang, you can deal infinite damage. It is where you select the cutter boomerang and when it hits an enemy or boss, continuously mash select to deal damage infinitely. This glitch/oversight happens because the cutter boomerangs stays out of the field indefinitely until the boomerang goes back to you. When you press select, the boomerangs despawns because the game is paused, then re-spawns back into play when you press select. When this happens, if it is on an enemy, it deals out damage again, mostly because the damage dealt to the enemy is already given, but since the boomerang spawned is “new”, it can deal damage to the same enemy over and over again. So essentially, you could theoretically deal infinite damage.

1. Gutsman- Gutsman stage should be the first stage you tackle, as he is the weakest to the mega blaster, but if you don’t do him first, he is weak to bombmans power.

2. Cutterman – Cutterman is weak to Gutsman’s item, so if you pick up the rocks in the arena and throw them at him; he should die in two hits.

3. Elecman-By now you should have the cutter boomerang, and guess what Elecmans weakness is. Even without the cutter boomerang glitch, he is extremely weak to the cutter boomerangs.

4.Iceman is weak to elecmans power, and it gets him defeated quickly.

5. Bombman- Bombman is weak to firemans power, so just defeat him with that, or the boomerang

6. Fireman- Fireman is weak to icemans power, but the cutter boomerang glitch is perfectly valid.

5. Bombman- Bombman is weak to firemans power, so just defeat him with that, or the boomerang, which is good practice for what is coming up.

7 Yellow Devil- The yellow devil is what one could literally be called an actual devil. He is immune to mostly everything, but use the cutter boomerang glitch and you won’t deal with hours of swearing and cursing at the devil.

8 Megaman Clone- Just use the boomerang glitch again, but his weakness is the mega buster

9. Machine bubble- this fight is hard. But in all honesty, just use gutmans item, and then use the mega buster, because that is what it is weak to. Also Elecmans item, but megabuster is faster and more reliable in this case.

10 Dr. Wily- Dr. Wily is weak to the mega buster, firemans power, boomerang, and elecmans power.  Hold off using elecmans power during stage one, because it does double damage stage 2 (if you’ve played megaman before you know what I mean)

Punch out NES tips- April 21st, 2017

This game is recommended to veteran gamer’s, but anyone can enjoy it. It is a little hard, and it took me a year to beat. Please don’t blame me if you rage out, I am innocent. It is fun nevertheless though. Beginner gamer’s might  give up on gaming if they play that, but I highly doubt it. It would be funny to see though. But you shouldn’t give up if you play this and it’s too hard.

Today I am going to give tips on how to beat some of the characters from Punch Out.

Glass Joe – Punch him, with an uppercut right before he hits to give him a star punch. You can also punch him when his arms are lowered, but you attack normally.

Von Kaiser – When he is about to punch he turns yellow, so punch him in the gut to receive a star. Not very easy though, so one should try either blocking his punch or dodging then uppercut wail on him, but if you have a star, after uppercutting star punch him.

Piston Honda – Whenever he raises his eye brows, punch him to get a star.  Whenever he is about to punch, with a funny look on his face, uppercut him. After he uppercuts you, star punch him.

Don Flamenco – Punch him, dodge his attacks, and then punch to the rhythm of the noise made when you hit him.

King Hippo – He attacks when he opens his mouth, so uppercut him before he punches, and when he bandages appear on his stomach, punch him there.

Great Tiger – When his gem glows, uppercut him to get a star. When he leans, punch in the same direction to get a star. When he does his special move, the magic punches, block each punch until you see his face all confused and dizzy; then do an uppercut to knock him out.

Bald Bill – He shuffles his fists, RIGHT BEFORE he punches, so uppercut him then, this should get you a star. If you punch anytime before he punches, you should get a star regardless. When he goes all the way back hit him. When he comes to you to knock him out.

Piston Honda 2 – He is about to piston punch you, when he raises his eyebrows, so uppercut him. Same as before, but in the second round, after he tries to uppercut you, when you uppercut him then star punch him, for some strange reason it’s counts as an instant KO.

Soda Popinski – Dodge his punches, then uppercut straight afterwards. Block whenever he crouches, he’ll wait, and punch him to get a star. Star punches are instant KOs from the sheer difficulty to actually get one, you’ll get the opportunity to do it after he punches and you dodge, you also have to uppercut twice.

Bald Bill 2 – Same as before, but he will now taunt you with a duck and raise, just punch when he ducks and uppercut whens he is up. Also only when he lounges at you Upper cut  use or star punches to knock him out.

Don Flamenco 2 – When he chenches his left arm, upper cut him, dodge, and wail on him. When he is about to uppercut you, uppercut him for a star. When he is about to punch you in the face punch him in the gut for a star

Sandman – when he shuffles his fists, dodge and Uppercut. When he does the Uppercut (1 in a row) dodge, uppercut, then punch repetitively. When he does the three in a row uppercut, dodge left left right, then uppercut him, then punch repetitively

Super Macho Man- Dodge his attacks then Uppercut repetitively. When he swings around dodge down (do this by double tapping down) repetitively (as many times as he spins) when he shows his back uppercut

Mr. Dream- He is completely randomized. Look at his eyebrows for when he is about to punch, dodge, and Uppercut.

April 19th 2017- Momodora reverie under the moonlight review

Today I am going to review Momodora reverie under the moonlight. Momodora is a peculiar game. It is a game that rewards you with various items if you defeat bosses without taking any damage while fighting them. It is a game in which you follow a young priestess Kaho who is fighting a curse to save the land. MomodoraIV-Official art work-

The game is available to purchase at Steam for ten dollars, and it also on the Playstation 4 and Xbox 1 . The graphics is of semi-handrawn and semi-pixel. It has good graphics, and has amazing music. The music isn’t memorable to everyone, but can be. The music feels as if you were listening to classical music, and the gameplay is pretty solid. Overall I would give it a nine out of ten. Please buy the game for yourself to support the author. This game was released on March 4th 2016, so it is technically modern day. This has no support from the author in any way shape or form, but this is a game that needs more love.

AM2R Review April 13th, 2017

This game is recommended to everyone, but it might be insanely hard to legitimately hard to find. I’m still a wee bit disgruntled about Nintendo shutting it down. This review is different from regular format because I’m not even sure it’s up anymore, or if you can get a legitimate copy of it anymore. This is here because of a memorial kind of thing. I am lucky enough to have nabbed me a copy though.

Today I am Reviewing AM2R. AM2R is a PC game that is a Fan game for Metroid 2, which is also a  remake. This is given a 4.5 out of 5 star rating, mostly for how good the game is. The point five taken away is only for it was taken down , and while it is back up, it is hard to find. This game has amazing graphics, and game play, but the controls are hard to get used to for the game. The ascetics are good, and feels like a genuine Nintendo made game. It is an incredibly easy game to 100 percent, but then there is its difficulty. Easy mode can feel harder than normal mode, but that is at first glance. Enemies can be confused for background objects, and hazards, but usually are identifiable. This can be confusing for first time gamer’s. It is faithful to the original Metroid 2, so if you want to see it again, ask the creator here AM2R official website.
